Oliver’s practice is focused in construction & engineering dispute resolution and on-project advisory.

He focuses on both domestic and international arbitration as well as adjudication relating to construction, infrastructure, and energy disputes.

His experience in claims advisory and dispute resolution includes:

  • International arbitration involving double track railway infrastructure and track work;
  • International arbitration relating to the design and construction of mixed developments in the UAE;
  • International arbitration relating to the construction of a steam cracker complex facility;
  • Arbitration relating to the design and fabrication of offshore rigid risers;
  • Arbitration relating to the design and development of a 5-star hotel in Kuala Lumpur;
  • Arbitration involving disputes relating to the design and construction of sewer line and associated pumping facilities;
  • Arbitration in respect of the design and construction of an interstate controlled-access highway project running along the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia;
  • Litigation involving the construction of PMU 275/132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear;
  • Litigation involving building substructure works for residential properties;
  • Various adjudications involving the construction of infrastructure for commercial properties;
  • Advisory for a Malaysian electricity company in relation to the construction of a 1000MW coal fired power plant.
